Drannon L. Adkins is a West Virginia native. Raised in rural Monroe County, West Virginia, he graduated from James Monroe High School in 2003 with highest honors. Upon graduation, Drannon attended West Virginia University as both a Promise and Mountaineer Scholar. Drannon graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences in 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology, with minors in Communications Studies and Political Science. Drannon was also honored with a President’s Volunteer Service Award for his volunteer service during his final year.

Following graduation, Drannon attended West Virginia University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2010. While a student at the College of Law, Drannon served as a Student Attorney in the Civil Law Clinic, from which he received another President’s Volunteer Service Award. He also was affiliated with the Public Interest Advocates and the American Constitutional Society.

Drannon was admitted to the West Virginia Bar in 2010. He also holds bar admission to the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.

Drannon joined Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC in June 2014 after spending almost four years at a general practice firm, where he excelled in courtroom advocacy and appellate practice.  Drannon became a Member of the firm on December 1, 2018.

Drannon lives in Poca, West Virginia, with his wife, Heather, and their two daughters, Adyson and Haidyn.
