Education Affiliations

Benjamin P. Warder was born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1984. He graduated from Saint Joseph Central Catholic High School in Huntington in 2002. He then went on to receive a BA in International Studies and Minor in Spanish, Summa Cum Laude, from West Virginia University in 2006. While completing his undergraduate education, Ben was on the President’s List every semester and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Ben was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Helvetia Sophomore Honorary, Chimes Junior Honorary, Mortar Board Senior Honorary, and Sigma Iota Rho International Studies Honorary, as well as being named Outstanding Senior in the International Studies Program and an Eberly Scholar. Ben received his JD from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2009. While in law school, Ben was a two-year member of the West Virginia Law Review and was a Teacher’s Assistant in the Legal Research, Reasoning, and Writing Program for three semesters.

Ben was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar on October 20, 2009 and worked for Bailey & Wyant, PLLC in Charleston, West Virginia from August 2009 until March 2012. While at Bailey & Wyant, Ben practiced primarily insurance defense representing a wide range of clients including state agencies, school boards, businesses, and county commissions. Ben’s cases at Bailey & Wyant included a wide range of litigation areas, including deliberate intent, premises liability, personal injury, employment discrimination, and medical malpractice. In the summer of 2011, Ben played a significant role in helping to prepare a brief in opposition to a petition for writ of certiorari in a prison civil rights case before the Supreme Court of the United States. On April 2, 2012, Ben joined Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC as a member in the firm’s Martinsburg office. Ben is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of West Virginia and the Southern District of West Virginia.
